Biography of Great Anna Hazare

Biography of Great Anna Hazare

From a tenacious soldier to a social reformer, and a right to information crusader, Anna Hazare’s journey of four decades has been unprecedented in terms of a non-violent yet effective campaign of resurrecting a barren village into an `ideal village’ model and empowering the faceless citizen through pioneering work on Right to Information. His efforts to empower grampanchayats, protect efficient government officers from frequent transfers and fight against the red tapism in government offices have also received accolades.

His tryst with the army came when many Indian soldiers became martyrs in the Indo-China War of 1962 and the Government of India had appealed to young Indians to join the Indian army. Being passionate about patriotism, he promptly responded to the appeal and joined the Indian Army in 1963. During his 15-year tenure as a soldier, he was posted to several states like Sikkim, Bhutan, Jammu-Kashmir, Assam, Mizoram, Leh and Ladakh and braved challenging weathers.

At times, Hazare used to be frustrated with life and wondered about the very existence of human life. His mind yearned to look out for a solution to this simple and basic question. His frustration reached the peak level and at one particular moment, he also contemplated suicide. For this, he had also penned a two page essay on why he wants to live no more. Fortunately for him, inspiration came from the most unexpected quarters – at the book stall of the railway station of New Delhi, where he was located then. He came across a book of Swami Vivekananda and immediately bought it.

He was inspired by Vivekananda’s photograph on the cover. As he started reading the book, he found answers to all his questions, he says. The book revealed to him that the ultimate motive of human life should be service to humanity. Striving for the betterment of common people is equivalent to offering a prayer to the God, he realized.

In the year 1965, Pakistan attacked India and at that time, Hazare was posted at the Khemkaran border. On November 12, 1965, Pakistan launched air attacks on Indian base and all of Hazare’s comrades became martyrs, It was a close shave for Hazare as one bullet had passed by his head. Hazare believes this was the turning point of his life as it meant he had a purpose to life. Anna was greatly influenced by Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. It was at that particular moment that Hazare took an oath to dedicate his life in the service of humanity, at the age of 26. He decided not not to let go of a life time by being involved merely in earning the daily bread for the family. That’s the reason why he pledged to be a bachelor. By then he had completed only three years in the army and so would not be eligible for the pension scheme. In order to be self-sufficient, he continued to be in the army for 12 more years. After that, he opted for voluntary retirement and returned to his native place in Ralegan Siddhi, in the Parner tehsil of Ahmednagar district.

While in the army, Hazare used to visit Ralegan Siddhi for two months every year and used to see the miserable condition of farmers due to water scarcity. Ralegan Siddhi falls in the drought-prone area with a mere 400 to 500 mm of annual rainfall. There were no weirs to retain rainwater. During the month of April and May, water tankers were the only means of drinking water. Almost 80 per cent of the villagers were dependent on other villages for food grains. Residents used to walk for more than four to six kilometers in search of work and some of them had opted to open country liquor dens as a source of income.

More than 30-35 such dens located in and around the village had tarnished the dignity of the village and marred the social peace. Small scuffles, thefts and physical brawls resulted in loss of civic sense. Morality had reached such a nadir that some of the residents stole wooden logs of the temple of the village deity Yadavbaba to burn the choolah of one of the country liquor outfits.

Hazare came across the work of one Vilasrao Salunke, a resident of Saswad near Pune who had started a novel project of water management through watershed development in a joint venture with the Gram Panchyat. Hazare visited the project and decided to implement it in Ralegan Siddhi. By keeping an eye on conserving every drop of water and preventing erosion of the fertile soil, he steered the villagers to begin working towards water conservation. At the outset, they completed 48 Nala Bunding work, contour trenches, staggered trenches, gully plugs, meadows development and of forestation of 500 hectares of land. Thereafter, they constructed five RCC weirs and 16 Gabion Weirs.

This resulted in increase in the ground water level. After that, Hazare along with his team worked out the cropping pattern suitable to the quality of soil and the water volume available for farming. This led to increase in the water table by making water available for 1,500 acres of land instead of 300 acres. As a natural sequel, this effort led to yielding of food-grains and the villagers became self-sufficient in terms of food. The table turned turtle – earlier there was no work available for the villagers, now manpower was required to be imported from neighbouring villages.

The changes in the economics brought all the villagers under one roof of unity and people voluntarily contributed in terms of labour and money to build a school, a hostel, a temple and other buildings. Mass marriages, grains bank, dairy, cooperative society, self-help groups for women and youth mandals helped develop the village in all aspects and gave a new face to it.

Hazare opines that proper planning of natural and human resources can result in the betterment of a person, area, village instead of exploiting such resources. He says, ``Today we all are exploiting the earthen resources like petrol, diesel, kerosene, coal and water. This can never be termed as perennial development as it is going to lead a state of destruction one day. The sources of energy are limited and hence I am concerned about the next generations. Today many of the villages of almost every state are feeling the brunt of water shortage. Building concrete jungles does not mean development as Gandhiji had rightly said.

Creation of a human idol should be the main objective rather than creating towering buildings. Surely, one needs to live for oneself and the family but simultaneously one owes something to your neighbour, your village and your nation too. For this, you need an idol who could lead to this goal. Such leadership is not created by power or money but only by virtues like pure thinking, matching action and willingness to sacrifice. It is the thumb rule of farming that – When a seed buries itself, it leads to a better yield. in order to get better yield of grains, one single grain needs to burry itself.

The society needs such volunteers who are ready to get buried in selfless service for the better future of the society.’’

Hazare’s Ralegan Siddhi became the first role model of an ideal village and has become a tourist spot for many visitors across the nation, since it shows the metamorphoses from the worst village to an ideal village. Visitors include politicians, researchers, social workers and students. Four postgraduate students have completed Ph. D. thesis on Ralegan Siddhi.

Social Life

Anna rightly thought that Development is marred by corruption and started a new venture in 1991 called Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Aandolan (BVJA) or public movement against corruption. It was found that some 42 forest officers had duped the state government for crores of rupees through corruption in confederacy. Hazare submitted the evidences to the government but the latter was reluctant to take action against all these officers as one of the ministers of the ruling party was involved in the scam. A distressed Hazare returned the Padmashree Award to the President of India and also returned the Vriksha Mitra Award given by then prime minister of India Rajiv Gandhi.

He further went on an indefinite hunger strike in Alandi on the same issue. Finally, the government woke up from deep slumber and took action against the culprits. Hazare’s sustained campaign on this issue had a great effect - six of the ministers were forced to resign and more than 400 officers from different government offices were sent back to home.

Hazare realized that it was not enough to merely take action against fraudulent ministers or officers but to change the entire system that was studded with loopholes. Hence, he campaigned for the Right to Information Act. The state government turned a blind eye towards the pleas in this regard and so he first agitated in the historical Azad Maidan in Mumbai in the year 1997. To create mass public awareness about RTI amongst the youth, Hazare traveled extensively throughout the state. The government kept promising that RTI Act would be made but never raised this issue in the house or the state assembly. Hazare did not relent – he agitated at least ten times.

Finally, again he went on an indefinite hunger strike at Azad Maidan in the last week of July 2003. At last, the President of India signed the draft of the Right to Information Act after his 12-day-long hunger strike and ordered the state government to implement it with effect from 2002. The same draft was considered as the base document for the making of the National Right to Information Act-2005.

After the implementation of the RTI Act-2005, Hazare travelled for more than 12,000 Kms across the state creating awareness about the Act. In the second phase, he interacted with more than one lakh college students and also conducted mass public meetings across 24 districts of the state. The third phase included daily 2-3 public meetings in more than 155 tehsil places. In this massive campaign, posters, banners were displayed and more than one lakh booklets of the provisions of the Act were distributed at a nominal price.

This created enough of awareness and people were educated on the issue of rights of citizens.

Hazare deservedly won the coveted Padmashree and then Padmabhushan. Care International of the USA, Transparency International, Seoul (South Korea) also felicitated him. Apart from this, he received awards worth Rs. 25 lakh and donated the entire amount for the Swami Vivekananda Kritadnyata Nidhi (social gratitude fund). Out of the two lakh rupees received from the above amount, mass marriages are carried of at least 25-30 poor couples every year.

That Hazare has given his life for social betterment is reflected thus: ``I do have my home in the village but I have not entered it for the past 35 years. I have implemented schemes costing more than several crores of rupees but I do not have bank balance. Last 12 years I have been working in the field of eradication of corruption. This movement is run entirely by public support without and grants or sponsorships. I appeal for money wherever I go for a public meeting and urge them to contribute generously. The same money I use to carry out my campaigns. The money collected at such public meetings is counted in front of the villagers and my volunteers issue a receipt of the same on the spot.

He further states that, ``The movement that we started many years back without a penny in wallet, has spread its wings in all the 33 districts and 252 tehsils of the state. Hence we have been instrumental in offering rights to local bodies like Gramsabha, preventing red-tapism and initiating the law of transfers. This has prevented corruption on a large scale. This has also resulted in offering social justice to the economically backward class. The Union Government keeps on making various schemes for poor people in availing kerosene, LPG and pulses on ration card but the middlemen keep on gulping the subsidies of the same. Our efforts made these necessities available to the poor.’’

The state government promoted opening of cooperative societies, credit societies & urban banks. Believing in the principles of cooperative sector, the utmost lower class of the society invested their savings with such cooperative societies. However, the directors of such societies devoured the money and failed to pay back the basic amount to the members of the societies. This created havoc and people were duped for crores of rupees and did not have money for the marriages of their daughters or for medical treatment. Hazare agitated for over eight months. The result was that more than Rs. 125 crore was recovered from defaulters and the members of such societies heaved a sigh of relief. Recovery of around Rs. 400 crores is in the pipeline.

In the future, the BVJA will work for the decentralisation of power and laws related to the same. Says Hazare, ``we have decided to develop centers to create awareness amongst people about govt. schemes and train activists to know the modus operandi of corruption in each sector. As the state government has decided to set up committees at almost every nodal point like state, district, tehsil, and village level with one member on such committee represented by our organisation. We have trained more than 400 volunteers to work on such committees.

Actually the government should train the members of NGOs who can work in the sector of prevention of corruption. Then and then only we can dream of corruption-free state, concludes Hazare.

Sustainable development of any village by making it a “Model Village” and eradication of corruption are two sides of the same coin. If both are adopted, only then there will be an established welfare state.

A great Experience at Jantar-Mantar

Ist Day- People are not coming so much, but those come, their sounds are great. They are not for any political group, community, religion, cast etc. they come just for Nation. What i say about enthusiasm and zeal of the 77 yrs. old great warrior sh. Anna Hazare. I have simply no word. Kiran Bedi, Swami Agnivesh, Kejriwala and lots of more are the commander and lacks of soldiers are ready to a peaceful and non violent war against deaf government.

IInd Day- I am not going there, going to library but my mind is there. The news of refusal of politician on that stage giving me a great pleasure.

IIIrd Day- The govt. tactics make anger us. Crowd are much more than Ist day. Candle march from India Gate to Jantar-Mantar is great. Amran-Ansankari are also in great spirit inspite of hospitalization of few. And what i am saying about Annaji. This Old Man has the spirit of 21 year soldier.

IVth Day- Crowd is very big and the lots of talk with govt. fruitfils and around 10 p.m, we have the news of great celebration.

We Won The Battle not War

As all you know, last night govt. agreed with our proposal on the issue of 'Drafting Commitee for Jan Lok-Pal Bill', which is raised by us in the leadership of great social activist Shri Anna Hazare under the banner "India Against Corruption".

But What I think, now two things have cleared. First, for healthy democracy, public must be aware and always ready for such movements for making pressure on govt. Second, Govt. should also think that they are not king for 5 yrs. after election byt they are sent to parliament for doing lots of work in this limited time.

But my million-dollar Question is about public participation in Democracy. I feel at all layers of Administration and legislation, people never participate. Why?

They are afraid and illiterate about their right. Most people say India is full of corrupt people. But I think, only few are corrupt & Selfish and rest have not courage to stand against them. So our problem is not corruption but the absence of courageousness among people.

Through this movement , we feel this courage and belief of changing system among ourself. II Gandhi gives us a new hope and awake us. Now It is our responsibility to maintain this belief and courage for future, because a many battles are ahead to save and in better of the greatest democracy.

Our next mission is SWARAJ and GRAM-SWARAJ.

India Against Corruption

As you all know the step of Shri Anna hazare for introduction of 'Jan Lokpal Bill' in Parliament. This great man is on indefinite hunger strike for the people of India.

Anna Hazare is one of India's well-acclaimed social activists. A former soldier in the Indian army, Anna is well known and respected for upgrading the ecology and economy of the village of Ralegan Siddhi which is located in the drought prone Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state. The erstwhile barren village has metamorphosed into a unique model of rural development due to its effective water conservation methods, which made the villagers self-sufficient. Earlier, the same village witnessed alcoholism, utter poverty and migration to urban slums. Inspired by Hazare’s unique approach of salvaging a hopeless village, the state government has implemented the `Model Village’ scheme as part of its official strategy. Hazare is now synonymous with rural development in India.

Hazare believes that our freedom is at the teeth of danger due to corruption and unless it is eliminated, the country will not be free in its true sense. Therefore, a peaceful war has been waged against corruption with the help of immense support from people.I am also on fast on 5th April for this.

But Actually i want to say you that first as a citizen please you stand against corruption. Just sacrifice some time and luxury and you can do this. If we believe that we act and fight against corruption, then the dream of corruption-free India like Honkcong, off-course fulfill.

We have to make strong our self morally so enough that no power can,t become us corrupt. We have to make Ideal for our next generation.

So stop saying "India me kuchh nahin ho sakta" but "Dare to Die to Change".

The dream of India as a strong nation will not be realised without self-reliant, self-sufficient villages, this can be achieved only through social commitment & involvement of the common man."

- Anna Hazare

Guruji in Himachal

Jai gurudev, i recently got mail on yahoo group about Gurujji recent visit on himachal, which i want to share with you.

Guruji in Himachal

Jai Gurudev!Guruji has arrived on stage wearing the traditional Himachal cap and  is chanting a mantra.

Sri Sri:   The gross (sthool) world that we see outside comes from the subtle
(sookshma) world. It is the subtle world that gives rise to the gross world. The subtle world also contains within it the Devis and Devtas. The Gods are within us – within every particle of us, including in this place.

Today, there is a big tussle going on between the positive and negative
forces (energies). The negative forces in this society are corruption, injustice. The positive energies are giving blessings for all to fight the negative energies of society. The positive energies are truthfulness, simplicity, straightforwardness . Doing Sadhana regularly will develop these positive energies within us. Today, we have to be aware and awaken the
positive energies. We should work to develop knowledge within us to get the power to fight the negative forces. Knowledge, Music and Meditation … three are necessary to develop positive energies within us.

Accept people as they are. If we don't do that, we will be doing a
disservice to ourselves. Oftentimes, many people come into our lives who make us angry. Is this true or not? Raise your hands! Sadhana will help you to accept these people and give you the strength to face them. If you get immersed in anger, your life is wasted. First you need to silence your mind. Then, the acceptance will come. For example, first accept 'thief'
as 'thief'. Then, we can act on the fact and take the thief to the police station. Sadhana is not just doing the Kriya – your whole life is Sadhana.

How do guest go after talking to you in your home. If they are happy while
leaving then you are their real friend. Else if they feel the problems are bigger after talking to you, then you are not their friend, but an enemy.
If we are their friend, and they do something wrong, then its your duty to catch their ear. So if some one criticizes you, open heartedly accept it. If it has truth in their talk, correct yourself, else just let it go with
compassion.

Every moment, be ready to do seva (service). Seva should not come out of
any desire /expectation / gifts (meva). These days, people want the meva even before doing seva :) That is no seva at all. Seva that is done without any expectation is true seva and that is your very nature. You should do seva because you cannot exist without doing it. There is no big or small seva.

When the mind is quiet, there is God all around. People say they can't see
God. I say I can't see anything other than God. In India, people believe that the whole world exists because of God. This is the first step. There are more steps. With help of God you get material as well as spiritual achievements. This belief is prevalent in India and China. Did you know that in Mexico they have found a Ganapati Idol buried. In Bulgaria a Nataraja idol and in Peru a Shiv linga were found. We can find the symbols of God all over.

Today, the Art of living is 30 years old. From last town in Argentina to
the last town in Antarctica satsangs are taking place. All over the world the thirst for knowledge has begun.

There are various levels of energies. Similarly, various levels of God
forms are found. Everything in this world is made of one thing, only different manifestations of the same energy. For example, coal and diamond are made of the same substance but are different manifestations of the same substance. You don't hang coal on your ear as an ornament and you don't use the diamond as a coal even though they are made up of the same substance. All these different manifestations should be accepted.

Today, I have come to give you these messages. First, We have to stop
corruption in this country. There are three levels of corruption. One is at the individual level. You have to stop accepting that giving bribes are a way of life. Someone once said, in India, even Gods are bribed! One should not think like that. Worshiping God is respecting them. Doing worship from heart is the best worship. Some people say that they will offer their hair if they get what they had prayed for. This is not real worship.

The second is at the level of bureaucracy. I want all officials to put "I
don't accept bribes" on their tables. If you are too busy to do this, our youth volunteers can do this for you.

The third is at the level of politics. Some people warned me not to talk
against corruption. I was astonished that they could actually tell me that. I said I will talk against corruption. I am not going to listen to all these people. I listen only to my conscience. I also encourage journalists to write about this in the papers. We have to leave a world free of corruption to the next generation. All of you here today promise me to make this a corruption free country. Come on, all of you raise your hands and take an oath… I don't see a few people raise their hands :) I am not leaving until I see all hands go up :)

We have had a tradition of upholding human values. In our country where
respecting women is held at a higher esteem than respecting even sanyasis, we have had to pass a law not to bring injustice on women! What kind of a world are we living in! Respecting women is common decency - does this need a law? We have to stop female feticide. You have to take an oath not to stop this. Come on raise your hands and make a resolution today!

We need to stop alcoholism too! People find excuses to drink. Today, we
can have a wedding without the bride and groom, but not without alcohol! Wedding is a place where you should be in a state of wakefulness and not be dull. We need to change this way of life. Take an oath right now that you will stop this. If you feel awkward to invite guests without offering alcohol, you can put the blame on me. I am ready to take it. Tell them that you have taken an oath in front of Devtas that you will not consume or serve alcohol! All Gods will be happy to hear this.

We will meditate for 10 minutes. "Shake your hands.Close your eyes and keep shaking hands.Close your eyes and relax.Take your attention within your body.Millions and billions of atoms make up our body.Gods live in our own body. The power of God is in our body and in every particle of the world.Body is made of Earth element. And entire Earth is filled with Divine Energy.Remember the mountain, the ground from where we have come and where we will go.In few years we will go in ground.Take a deep breath in and thank the Earth.Your body is 70% water. Different types of fluids are flowing in our body.Water is life.Water is also God's power.Water is present in air in form of clouds.70% of our body is water.7 Oceans , several hundreds of rivers, clouds, wells, .. it's water everywhere.Take a deep breath in.And bow down to water element.Body has heat, fire element. Else we can't survive.Earth has heat, also in water and air.Sun and Moon have fire element.Let' s bow down to fire element and take a breath inThis world is full with energy, in form of heat, light in various forms.Various places energy is manifesting in various forms.Let's bow down to that  energy.Take a deep breath in and let go slowly. One more deep breath in.Slowly let go.Within you and outside there is Air element. Remember this element.Water too has air element.Fire too has it.Within us, outside us air is there. Air is the reason for your existence.Another breath in. Smilingly take a deep breath. Smilingly let go of the breath. Loosen your body. The smile on your face dissolve into every cell of your body. Let your smile go within.Let go all your efforts.Thoughts come and go in your mind.Mind is like a sky and thoughts like clouds... come and goBody has Space element.Every bit of it has this element.Everything has come from space, is in space and will go into space.Like space mind is formless, you too are formless. Relax and take a deep breath inDrop all your efforts, imagination and tries.Nothing to know, nothing to do, only relax With a smile, rest within yourself.God' s abundant blessings are with us.We are sitting in God's laps. Just relax.Nothing to know, nothing to do, just rest.(mantra Chanting)Slowly get aware of body and surroundings. You may open your eyes." Felt Good? How many felt good? 18 minutes.

Are there any questions?

Q: If God is everywhere, why do Sadhus go to Mountains for sadhana?.
Sri Sri: Mountain is called "Parvat". Parvat means celebration. There is always celebration on a mountain top and Rishis love it.

Q: In Himachal, we have a long standing tradition of sacrificing animals.
Can you throw some light on this tradition?                                                                                                                                     Sri Sri: Sacrifice as it is practiced here has been wrongly understood. What has to be sacrificed is  the animalistic qualities in us. For example, the heaviness (jadatwa – the bullishness) within you is to be sacrificed, not animals. Let us also take this oath that no animal is sacrificed. Sacrifice your own animal instinct, not the animal. You cannot kill animals. There is no mention in our scriptures that we have the right to kill. You do not have the ability to create these animals, what right do you have to kill them? Do read Bhagwat Geeta - keep faith and ask for a wish. Today all Devatas gathered here are happy, just before you sleep today, ask for a wish, surrender it and then sleep.

Q: In India why is Idol worship so prominent?                                                                                          Sri Sri: Idols are worshiped
after you instill your life force (prana) in it. This is the reflection of the feelings that you have towards God. However, this is the first step - to see God outside of you. To increase energy we worship God first as an Idol, then saligram (round stone) which is formless. For the common person the idol is needed. A person who has acquired Aadhyatmic knowledge sees God within.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Question: Can India ever get to be the best in the world again?                                                         Sri Sri: YES! But for that we all have to work together. Both Sankalpa and
Karma are required. You should have the sankalpa to make India the best
again and work towards it also.

Question: How to be happy?                                                                                                                      Sri Sri: Be in present moment. Surrender worries
to God. Believe that things are for the best, even if any sadness comes in life. Just believe in this and live your life.

Question: Can we destroy negative powers via spirituality?                                                               Sri Sri:
Spirituality alone is not enough. If you look at a God's idol, you will see weapons and compassionate vision also. The Devi idol has eight hands – one offering blessings and others with various weapons. First God tries to destroy negative powers with gentle methods. If that does not work, the weapons come out. Something or other has to work. We have to work on both levels to destroy negative forces. Resolution is powerful. Pray. Work for it. And the more you are quiet inside the more powerful is your sankalpa
(resolve).

Question: What all can God forgive?                                                                                                    Sri Sri: Looks like you have a long list
of things that you want God to forgive :) That which pinches you is the
fault/sin. As soon as you accept your fault/sin you become free. A clear mind does not allow you to make a mistake and this is acquired through seva, sadhana and satsang.

Question: Can you be always with me?                                                                                                 Sri Sri: There is no choice! We are
both stuck, both of us have got trapped! We are one and can never be
separate. If we consider ourselves as only body, then we are locked in this illusion.

Question: Some of us who consume non-vegetarian food try to stop eating
meat, but feel that it is a part of our tradition. How to overcome this?
Sri Sri: Wherever people who were considered non-vegetarian are now turning towards vegetarianism. They have seen the benefits and are slowly changing their eating habits. Man is made for being a vegetarian. Just try it for 3 months and do sadhana and see the difference.

Question: Guruji, how to overcome bad habits?                                                                                        Sri Sri: 1. LoveJust promise
your loved one, take a vow ... that you will not do it.2. FearIf someone puts a fear in your mind, you will not continue with the habit. If a doctor tells you that if you smoke, you will die within a month, you will give up smoking.3. GreedIf someone says to you that if you don't drink for 3 months
you will get 100 million, you will do it for 4 months, just to make sure .There is no 4th option. Jai Gurudev.

Committment

Friends we are many times facing a problem - 'lack of Commitment'. I get a beautiful article on this through my  yahoo groups, which i want to share with you.
Commitment

A river needs two banks to flow. The difference between flood and a flowing river is that in the latter the water flows in a particular direction whereas in floods the water is muddled and has no direction. Similarly, in our life if the energy is not given a direction, it is all confusion. The life energy needs some direction to flow.

When you are happy, there is so much of life energy in you but when this life energy doesn’t know where to go, how to go, it gets stuck and rots! Just as water has to keep flowing, life has to keep moving. For life energy to move in a direction, commitment is essential. Life runs on commitment. A student takes admission in a school or college with a commitment. You go to a doctor with a commitment saying that you are going to take the medication or listen to whatever the doctor prescribes.

Banks work on commitment. Government works on commitment. Needless to say, a family runs on commitment: the mother is committed to the child, the child is committed to the parents, the husband is committed to the wife, and the wife is committed to the husband.  Whether it is love or business or friendship or any area of life, there is commitment. What really irritates you is non-commitment. You expect some commitment from someone and when they don’t do it, you get upset. Or when someone doesn’t keep up his or her commitment, you get upset. But see how much commitment have you taken in your life?

Our capacity or capability is also proportionate to our commitment. If you are committed to taking care of your family, that much capacity you gain. If your commitment is to the community, you will get that much energy, joy, that much power. Greater the commitment you take, the greater the power you gain to fulfill that commitment. Smaller commitments suffocate you because you have more capacity, but you are stuck in a small hole!

When you have ten things to do and even if one thing goes wrong, you can keep doing the remaining things. But if you have only one thing to do and that goes wrong, then you are stuck with it. Usually, we think we should have resources and then we will commit ourselves. It is actually otherwise. Greater the commitment you take, greater the resources that will come to you automatically. When you have the intention to do something, resources simply flow as needed.

There is no growth in doing what you can do. Stretching a little beyond your capacity makes you grow. If you can take care of your company because it is within your capacity, there is nothing great about it. But if you stretch it little more and take commitment to take care of the whole town, then you gain that much more power. As you take on greater responsibility, your capability increases, your talents increase, your joy increases and you become one with the Divine force.

In whatever capacity you do something for society, for the environment, for the creation, that much you progress both materially and spiritually (value wise). The heart opens up with a feeling that you are part of everyone.

Don't Say your caste in Census-Counting

I am again want to say you:-

We want to say sorry to general public that our protest is not too loud to hear this deaf government. In last year GoMs clear the proposal of " Caste based census counting " and give fuel to cast based politics. A lots of people are also agree with this concept.

I am sorry to say them but they must be rethink on this issue because the telling causes behind this issue is not real but they send back our country to 150 years back, when English govt. started to practice this impossible work just to divide us. And the darkest side of the story is that it all happened on the great occasion of 64th anniversary of  our Independence day.

But we don't break we will fight. We need to support from every corner. Now government passed the proposal and as per proposal citizens have to asked their caste on the time of biometric record personally. But due to the our protest and protest from other corner government give the option of claiming ourself as "Castless". I want to say all of you please claim yourselves as "Hindustani" as your caste or otherwise claim yourself "castless"  in the national interest. If you all do this then you see that purpose of political parties are defeated. Because whatever they say, there real objective is to know the number of people cast-wise in each Panchayat, Assembly, Constituency and State for the purpose of doing castbased politics.

My dear friends our motive is nothing but just to try to build a society who aware and take responsibility to bring change rather than only complaining. Now Census-counting is started so we need maximum support from you.

Are you are with us ?

Happy Independence Day
